For its natural beauty, this area has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can explore the charming cities of Noto, Scicli, Modica and Ragusa, which are all considered to be some of the best examples of Baroque architecture in the world.
For generations, the locals have exploited the potential of the territory transforming the uncultivated land into a fertile and luxuriant area, largely dedicated to greenhouse farming.

The Vendicari Natural Reserve is also worth a visit.
